DLP Services is Hiring an Accounting Specialist (FT) Near Weslaco, TX
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; be able to organize their work using tools, like MS, Excel, QuickBooks, and other financial system software. Ensures the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the office.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Responsible for various critical accounts receivable processes from initial purchase order processing to drafting final invoices.
- Work within QuickBooks Desktop and various internal systems to ensure accurate creation and tracking of purchase orders and invoices throughout project lifecycles.
- Operate in a fast-paced environment on a largely independent basis, using experience and communication skills to problem solve in real-time.
- Investigate and resolve purchase orders, invoices, and payment discrepancies, as needed. Manage the company’s accounts receivable email inbox and respond in a timely manner to inquiries from clients or internal business partners.
- Develop and maintain an anticipatory, participative, cooperative communication style with clients and internal business partners.
- Assist with other projects as assigned and perform any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.
- Receives supervision from Owner.
- The position has no formally assigned supervisory responsibility or authority.
- Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
- The principal duties of this position are performed in an office environment.
- Works standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time while working on a daily basis.
- Sits, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties.
- Ability to lift equipment and office supplies weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Experience in accounts receivable/payable experience.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to dive deep into solving problems and data inconsistency.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Time management skills.
- Confidentiality is a must.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop.
- Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
